Windamere Regional Shooting Complex is a range facility located opposite Windamere Dam outside of Mudgee.

WRSC is a shooting range complex home to 9 different disciplines of target shooting.

In addition to hosting  shoots, the range also features-

Big Game Rifle
Centrefire and Rimfire Benchrest
Metallic Silhouette
Muzzle loading
Pistol, Single Action
Colonial Action
Shotgun.

There are several resident clubs within the complex that run regular club calendared events, as well as state level events. WRSC usually conducts all shooting on Saturdays and Sundays, and is only open when calendared events are scheduled. Ranges and Facilities
WRSC has a dedicated 300m range for Combined Services Rifle and Pistol events.
This is located at Range 2 within the complex, it features a full complement of sheltered benches, basic kitchen amenities as well as an ablutions block with shower facilities.  Other ranges within the complex include:

Range 1
Range 1 allows shooting out to a distance of 400m, and is templated to allow for the use of both paper and steel targets. A note to visitors, the steel targets on this range are only mild steel and are to be shot only with lead ammunition. Range 1 is also approved for high calibre pistols.

Pistol Range
The Pistol range is a 50m soft target range right next door to Range 2. Mudgee Pistol Club and the local SSAA Pistol Club shoot here.

Shotgun Range
WRSC has its own dedicated shotgun range, home to Mudgee Sporting Clays as well as the local SSAA branch shotgun club who shoot 5 Stand here.

Silhouette Range
The silhouette range is a 500m hard template range with a full complement of steel silhouette targets set out 5 distances. This range is also approved for high calibre pistols.
Notice ----
As a result of the 26th October 2017 range inspection by the NSW Firearms Registry,the Silhouette range
is closed for centrefire rifle shooting at this time, pistol is still ok.

How to get here
WRSC is located approximately 200km from Sydney, on the Castlereagh Highway. It's about half an hours drive south of Mudgee, opposite Lake Windamere. If you are travelling from Sydney it is extremely straightforward to get here head west on the M4, which turns into the Great Western highway as you pass through the Blue Mountains. After passing through Lithgow you exit left onto the Castlereagh highway and just keep following it for about an hour to the range entrance on the left side of the highway just before Cudgegong road.
